What to Expect Before and After Your Surgical Procedure

Undergoing a cosmetic surgery procedure can be an intimidating experience. Knowing what to expect can alleviate nervousness and tension that might accompany your visit.

At Summit Plastic Surgery and Med Spa, we value your comfort and privacy above all. Our cosmetic surgery procedures are performed in our Ambulatory Surgical Center for your utmost privacy. Our goal is to make you as comfortable as possible before, during, and after your surgery, and to help make your experience convenient not only for you, but for your family and any caregivers.

Before your surgery, Dr. Chhatre will give you a list of guidelines to follow. This differs depending on your procedure, but often involves avoiding food for a certain period of time before surgery, as well as information on when and where to check in for your procedure, and what you may bring with you.

Dr. Chhatre will also provide guidelines for care after your procedure. Depending on what you have done, you might have to limit activity for as long as a few weeks after your surgery. He'll also let you know how long you should remain at home resting before returning to work or other parts of your normal routine.

Following these guidelines is one of the best ways to ensure a positive result from your surgery. We're committed to do everything we can to make your stay with us as pleasant as possible, and giving you all the information you need to be able to heal quickly and completely.
